3K Supply List and Preparation

Welcome to 3K!! We look forward to a fun and exciting school year! Here are some skills to work on and supplies your child will need for the school year

  1. Everything you send to school needs to be labeled with your child’s first and last name. This will avoid any lost items and confusion if two children have the same item. (Jacket, bookbag, change of clothes, etc)
  2. Your child needs to be dressed in clothes that they can easily remove when they need to go to the bathroom. Elastic waistband pants are easiest. Shoes with velcro closures are perfect too. Children will be having gross motor time each day, so please have them wear sneakers everyday.
  3. Please work on the following skills over the summer to make the transition to 3K a smooth one:
    1. Have children use a fork and/or spoon during meal time. Your child will be eating both breakfast and lunch in school.
    2. Have children learn to wash their hands themselves. They are going to be washing their hands multiple times during the school day in 3K.
    3. Have children use a tissue when they need to clean their nose.
    4. BATHROOM ETIQUETTE: introduce potty training, wiping, flushing, hand washing with soap when they are done using the bathroom.
