September 2020

Dear Families of P.S. 63,

On behalf of the P.S. 63 P.T.A board I would like to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year.  I hope this newsletter finds you safe & well and that the first week of Blended /Remote start of the year has gone well. For those new to our school family, my name is Jeiry Reyes, your current PTA president. It has been an honor for me to serve our school throughout the years and give support to our amazing teachers, staff, students and families. This has been an historic year for all of us, and although everything is different & uncertain during these Covid-19 times, we at the PTA want to help continue to build our community and come together as we would have done so pre-pandemic times. We are working on re-designing & re-imagining what this year will look like for our PTA and one of the first things on our agenda is to hold our annual PTA elections virtually (more information to follow). Please know that our executive board is always working with the school, SLT and district to help foster a safe and engaging year of learning and growing for our children. I miss seeing and meeting all of you back for the new school year but I look forward to doing it soon virtually. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns and we would be happy to help you.

*Please sign up for PTA updates with the remind app using class code @ps63pta

*There are also Google Classroom video tutorials posted on the school’s website at:

Remember TOGETHER we can do virtually anything. Stay Safe

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our teachers for continuing to teach with all of your heart. We appreciate all that you do!
